Hello Everyone, I won't be posting much in the coming weeks. I got a new job and I'm moving to another state : (  but only 2 hours away from my hometown of Pittsburgh. So I will be busy packing up my craft room first so my creative projects are on hold until I get settled into my new place. I may stop by my cottage for a couple more posts, but just in case... Like the pumpkin I made, I made this Christmas tree the same way using the new Stampin Up score tool. I will try and post the dimensions of each rosette next week. Hope you like it! Here is another tree by another Stampin Up demonstrator.

I was in a Christmas tag swap with other Stampin Up Demonstrators in my area. For my tag, I used the 2 scallop punches to make a wreath. I used Frosted shimmer paint on Cherry Cobbler paper so the wreath looked like it was hanging on a snow covered window/door. Additional photos are from the other demonstrators. Hey everyone, sorry I haven't posted anything in awhile. This weekend I will be catching up and posting some of my current projects I have been working on. But in the meantime I wanted to share this great storage tip for your glitter and embossing powders. Just don't get them mixed up with your spices. :) I saw this idea in a local scrapbook store. They were selling glitter in glass shakers from some company. And I thought this was a great idea. So I bought some shakers and made my own. The plain clear square glass shakers will work better than these. These are small cheese shakers and the holes are larger then salt/pepper shakers. After using, it's easy to put the powder back into the jars with powder buddy tray.

 Sometimes when I make a box card set like this I like to make all the cards to match the box and use the same stamp set and colors. But in this case I had too many ideas to limit myself to one stamp set and color combination.  The person I gave this to today was very appreciative of my creativity and made the comment I hear all the time when I give cards as gift..." They're too pretty to give away". But they are meant to given, but only to those "special" people in your life that will appreciate a "non store bought" card and not just toss in the trash as soon as they read the card! The box holds up to 6 cards with matching envelopes. Here are 4 of the 6 cards I made and the box... I ran the flowers through an embossing folder to add some "life" to the flowers. For added dimension I punched out some little flowers and popped them up with Stampin Dimensionals and added Basic Pearls .  I used the Brayer technique for sailboat card

I saw this technique from Dawn another Stampin Up demonstator and decided to give a try. And I love making this flowers. Here is the link to her website on how make the flower. I made this for a baby gift, it was my first one and I was pleased how it turned out. The theme of the book was all the Baby's firsts...bath, walking, crawling...you get the idea. The pages are chipboard, which I cut out by hand (whish I had cricut machine). Then I cut the paper to cover the front and back of the chipboard. The size of the book was about 10" long by 5" wide. I wanted to make it large enough to fit a 4x6 photo on each page. I did find the template of the onsie online and then enlarged it to the size I wanted. The book had 10 pages (20 front and back).Here are some of the pages.

I saw this idea on YouTube and created my own version. The book is made from empty toilet paper rolls, but you can use empty paper towel rolls or even empty gift wrap rolls. It's a great way to recycle. You can use as many rolls as you like, I used 5. Flatten each roll and wrap with scrapbook paper, and embellish. There are different ways to bind the book, I just punched holes and used d-rings with ribbon.   Here is another great recycle idea, again I saw this idea on You Tube and added my own touches. The page on the right is made from plastic store bags, the bags are melted together with an iron. After I melted the bags together, I cut to the size I needed and ran it through my Cuttlebug with embossing folder. Then I inked to add some dimension to the page. It takes 8 layers of bags to make 1 plastic page.     And here is another great recycle idea, plastic packaging to create clear pages. I ran it through my Cuttlebug with an embossing folder. Here are the instructions for the Pumpkin, if you have any questions, please let me know. I used the Stampin Up New Simply Score Tool ·          Red sticky tape or a glue gun to assemble ·          (8) 12 x 12 Stampin Up designer paper scored at ½’ intervals,             it’s easier to score the 12 x 12 paper first then cut into strips. 1.        Punch out (20) 1 3/8” or 1” circles. Each rosette will have will have 2 circle punches,           one on each side. 2.        Start with the center layer, score then cut (3) 3 ½” x 12” strips then attach all the strips           to make 1 long strip. Form rosette and attach to a circle punch, then turn over and attach           another circle punch. Build your pumpkin from the center layer.     Below are the dimensions for each layer. 3.        Stem is made with (3) 1 ½” X 12” strips. Fringe paper before rolling to form stem.           Add leaves, I used Stampin Up Gently Falling Stamp set. (2) 1 ½” x 12” Top layer, attach stem to this
