In my last post I said I would be posting the swaps I recently did. Here is my page I did for the Twilight movie quote. I will post the 5 pages I get back from the swap. Hope everyone likes my page I did. My movie scene and quote are from the first movie, the dancing scene from prom. We had to do a 2-sided 6x6 page.

Hi Everyone, I know it's been a long time since I posted any projects. I will have more time to post projects since I lost my job 2 weeks ago. Never saw it coming, the company did a massive layoff and 103 people lost their jobs. So while I look for a new job, I'm going to look into opening an Etsy site. I did some crafting this week to take a break from stressing of having no job. I made a vintage inspired pumpkin out of a hardcover book. I got the idea from a YouTuber, here is her video if you want to know how to make this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGfWWJMNG7o I added my own twist to her pumpkin, but the construction is the same, but I made the mistake of mixing Tim Holtz distressed stain with water and the pages took a few days to dry. If it was hot and sunny, I would have put the pumpkin outside and it would have dried in a day. But I still love how it turned out, it was fun to make. I'm going to try and make a Christmas tree next.

I found a color of duct tape that matched the book cover, but in the end, not much of the duct tape is visible. When I stitched in the 3 signatures, I hid the stitching on the inside of the book instead of stitching into the spine. The center of each signature, I made a pocket to hide the stitching knots. I left space between the signatures for when the book was being used it had space to expand. But I didn't like seeing the plain paper so I added lace trim, it was the ...

Thanks Michelle, I'm sure your page is a "WOW" too. I think we tend to be too critical of our own work. At least I am, I'm always worried if everyone will like it.
