I made this for a custom order, another wedding junk journal. It's made from a hard cover book with 3 signatures. It's a change for me to make such a bright and cheerful looking journal. I typically make darker and vintage looking journals. But I like the bright colors and how this one turned out.

Hello From Nook,  Instead of the traditional guest book for the wedding guests to sign, there are so many creative ideas on out there, especially on Pinterest. So when a friend saw this on Pinterest, she wanted to know if I could make this for her wedding. I said yes and of course I had to put my twist on it, and I like my version much better : ) It's still simple and in the colors of my friend's wedding, but has a little more character and a little bling. I was not allowed to add glitter of any sorts per the groom! Which I almost added red roses with a hint of glitter, but stopped myself, HaHa. So here is my version of this wedding address guest box. I already had the box in my stash. Bought the wooden heart at Michael's and painted it to match the box. Stamped their initials, wedding date and add some roses and pearls. Used lace and pearls to make a bow on the front.   I used Heidi Swapp memorydex die to make the cards. But I didn't want the holes

Hello from the Nook & from these Crazy Birds, I know I keep saying this, but I LOVE these birds and their expressions. Tim Holtz came out with a crazy bird stamp set this year, wishing and hoping he does a crazy dog stamp set. I told him that on this blog, HaHa. So I had a request to make a set of 10 cards, all occasions for someone. So here are some photos and a video of the cards I made, and I also made a little bag for the cards.           

Hello from the Nook. I wanted to give a shout out to some of my favorite creative designers. I follow them and get to know them through their blogs and YouTube channels. We all have some sort of icon we follow, whether it's a music, actor or athlete, mine happens to be crafting designers. They are the ones that develop and design all the tools and supplies we use to be create our masterpieces. They make is easy for us by designing beautiful papers, embellishments and the tools we spend our hard earned money on and sometimes we spend too much! Some crafters can relate to hoarding some supplies and saving them for that special project...HaHa. I'm getting better at using what I have, because I'm tired of my crafting supplies taking over my guest room :). I even got to meet some my icons at my last job. Some co-workers teased me, because I was acting all silly and giddy because I got to meet Tim Holtz. Hello Crafters, I wanted to share my 2nd junk journal I made from a hardcover book. A friend ordered one from me, to give as a bridal shower gift. I found the perfect title book at a thrift shop for 25 cents. It was the right title, color and was in great shape. This was my color inspiration for the journal.   The book was perfect except it was too thin. So I took the book apart and re-constructed the book with a larger spine made from chipboard and duct tape. I found a color of duct tape that matched the book cover, but in the end, not much of the duct tape is visible.    When I stitched in the 3 signatures, I hid the stitching on the inside of the book instead of stitching into the spine. The center of each signature, I made a pocket to hide the stitching knots.     I left space between the signatures for when the book was being used it had space to expand. But I didn't like seeing the plain paper so I added lace trim, it was the perfect width. Then

Happy March 1st everyone, I thought I would share what projects I have made in the last couple of months. First one, I didn't want to post until I gave them as gifts. I found these metal letters in the $1.50 spot at Michaels and I turned them into Christmas ornaments for some family members. It's a good thing their last name starts with a D, the opening was perfect for a photo. I have paper over the photo for privacy, but trust me it's a cute photo of 4 little children in their Christmas jammies in front of the tree. I put the photos in a page protector and trimmed them both the shape of the letter. I added foam dimensional tape to the back of the letter to hold the photo in place. Then I glued decorative paper to the back of the photo which I signed and dated. The last photo are the 4 different ones I made. I think Michaels have the metal letters, but in spring colors. The next project are some cards I made. I just love the mason jar card.   The
