Great gift idea for co-workers, teacher gifts or a little special gift for someone.

Hello Everyone, I want to share my last project I made. I got an order for 8 of these "Emergency Card Kits". I did not come up with this idea, it came from a Stampin Up demonstrator, I just made some changes and added my touch. The idea behind this kit is to stock it with cards to keep at work, in your car or even at home when you need a card in a hurry or forgot to buy one. In my kit, I have 3 birthday cards and 3 thinking of you cards, notebook to write dates and addresses, pen and a pocket for stamps. Add to the gift, by giving a Hallmark gift card and stamps. Here are the 6 cards. I just love the bird card, the stamp set is by Tim Holtz. I want to make a set of cards just using this stamp set. The stamp set if called Crazy Birds.   I also love the paint card, I used the "Work of Art" stamp set by Stampin Up, the same set I used to make my Snowman card. This is another stamp set you can do so much with.  I added Wink of Stella Clear glitter pen on

2015 Christmas Cards

Hi Crafters, I wanted to share this year's Christmas cards I made. Each year I like to come up for 4 designs to make and sell. I made 350 of these cards which took me about a month. There was some major mass producing going on. I even recruited my sister to help me while I was visiting her over Thanksgiving. She was a big help with the "Happy Holidays" card. When I'm thinking about the layout of a card, I know I want it to be quick to mass produce, but still look nice. So when I made just one of these cards, I thought these were simple and would be quick to mass produce, especially the " Happy Holidays" one. Wrong!!...HAHA The only one that was quick, was the snowman card. This card was made using this Stampin Up stamp set. I got the idea from Stampin Up, but added my twist. The others had too many steps. So my advice crafters, is when you want to mass produce cards, think twice what you may think that would be quick to make. Once I got my

Hi Everyone, I know it's been a long time since I posted any projects. I will have more time to post projects since I lost my job 2 weeks ago. Never saw it coming, the company did a massive layoff and 103 people lost their jobs. So while I look for a new job, I'm going to look into opening an Etsy site. I did some crafting this week to take a break from stressing of having no job. I made a vintage inspired pumpkin out of a hardcover book. I got the idea from a YouTuber, here is her video if you want to know how to make this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGfWWJMNG7o I added my own twist to her pumpkin, but the construction is the same, but I made the mistake of mixing Tim Holtz distressed stain with water and the pages took a few days to dry. If it was hot and sunny, I would have put the pumpkin outside and it would have dried in a day. But I still love how it turned out, it was fun to make. I'm going to try and make a Christmas tree next.

Gift I made for a friend using the Heidi Swapp memory dex

Hello my crafty friends, I know it's been awhile since I posted. I'm going to be posting in the following weeks projects I have done in the last few months. The first project is my most recent project. I made it for a friend at work who left to move to another state for a job. I didn't want her to forget all of us at the job she was leaving, so I made her a rolodex style mini album using the new Heidi Swapp memory dex. I wanted my friend to remember not just the people who she worked with but all that she accomplished and participated in her time with the company. We take a lot of photos at work so it was easy to gather the photos I needed to make the project. Then instead of everyone signing a goodbye card, I cut extra cards using the Heidi Swapp memory dex dies. I had everyone write a message and their contact information and I added them to the project. I didn't care for the white and gold strip memory dex box, so I covered in burlap ribbon and added some trim. She
